Transfer of Property
The property transfer process can be complicated. Below is a guideline of the processes to be followed in order to complete a successful transfer of a property.
The seller elects who the conveyancing attorneys will be that will effect the transfer, unless agreed otherwise between the parties.
First an offer to purchase (OTP) is entered into between the purchaser and the seller wherein it is agreed as to which firm of conveyancers will attend to the transfer of property. The conveyancer then receives the instruction to attend to the registration of the transfer and the process set out below begins.
