Deceased Estate Administration

The executor's job is to take control of the deceased's assets, pay all creditors and administration costs and thereafter, transfer the balance of the estate to the heirs of the deceased.

If there is a valid Will, the hairs are determined in the Will and therefore inherit according to the bequests made by the deceased in the Will. If there is no valid Will, rhe heirs are determined in accordance with the rules set our in the Intestate Succession Act 81 of 1987.
